The New York City Christian Athletic League was founded in 2005 by Edwin Santiago as a men's ministry whose mission was to unite and establish relationships with other brothers in Christ within the NYC area.

In 2010, Edwin Santiago had the vision to reach the youth in the inner city. He branched out from the men's ministry and started programs for the youth. The programs included a flag football and basketball league for youth ages 12-18. Both clubs began with 40 kids and were coach by Christian Men that were part of the men's ministry.

The Youth ministry is currently in its 11th season. We have reached over 1000 kids from the Bronx over the past ten seasons. The youth programs are run in the University Heights area of the Bronx, included Flag Football and Basketball. We currently also run a back-to-school event where we give over 100 book bags with school supplies to kids in need.

We also run a men’s Softball League. We currently have eight churches from the tri-state area involved in the league. Our mission is to unite and establish relationships with other brothers in Christ throughout the NYC area. We currently have over 100 men involved in the league.
