Edwin Santiago – founder

has been faithfully serving the Lord for over 25 years. He is married to his loving wife of 25 years, and together they are blessed with two daughters. Edwin has a deep passion for serving the community and a genuine heart for people as he carries out the Great Commission sharing the hope of Christ wherever he goes.

Edwin brings over two decades of experience in education, coaching, and athletic leadership, using sports as a powerful platform for mentorship, character development, and sharing the Gospel.

In 2009, he founded NYCCAL with a clear vision: to reach youth through sports and introduce them to the hope found in Christ. Beginning with flag football in the fall and basketball in the spring, Edwin has faithfully led NYCCAL for the past 17 years, impacting countless young lives across the community.

In 2026, Edwin stepped out in faith to serve full-time as a sports missionary, fully dedicating himself to this calling. Through NYCCAL, he continues to invest in the next generation building relationships, developing leaders, and sharing the Good News.
